KARACHI: National Tenpin Bowling Championship will begin from March 23 at Leisure Bowling City Club, Jinnah Park, Rawalpindi.Pakistan Tenpin Bowling Federation’s (PTBF) secretary Ijaz-ur-Rehman said that all arrangements would be finalised in the meeting of the organising committee on March 10. He said the competitions would be contested in pro singles, doubles and team event, women singles, inter-university, inter-medical college, inter-school, inter-media, army officers (shaheed) families event, deaf and under-12 boys and girls. He said bowlers from Karachi, Faisalabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Balochistan, Islamabad and Rawalpindi would showcase their talent in the competitions which would conclude on March 30.The draws will be unveiled on March 22. The event will be played on the basis of knock-out system and under World Tenpin Bowling Association’s rules.Ijaz will defend men’s singles title. Ijaz said Malaysian coach Amjad Mehmood would arrive in Islamabad on March 16 to train players at Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta.
