ISLAMABAD: Appointment of new secretary and giving final touches to activity calendar would be on the top of agenda for the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Executive Committee that meets in Lahore on March 4.The 20-point agenda of the meeting available with The News reveals that the PFF that came into power following election held under the Supreme Court supervision would be electing a new permanent secretary general to run the daily affairs of the federation.The PFF president is all powerful under the constitution to appoint the secretary. However, The News has learnt that new secretary would be appointed in consultation with the committee.The activity calendar for the year 2019 would be given final shape and the required budget for the purpose would also be approved during the meeting.It is believed that the Ahmer Kunwar CEO TouchSky Group who recently met Prime Minister Imran Khan to discuss a long term plan of strengthening football would be offered to play its role in game promotion in the country.The PM has given go ahead to UK based sponsors to invest in Pakistan football with the help and coordination of the PFF.Amongst other points, appointments of appointment of coordinators, paid secretaries at provincial and regional levels are also on cards.Appointment of auditors, legal firm and appointment of Marketing Commission is on cards.Appointment of committees and signatories for bank accounts is also on cards. Procedure to conduct elections at provincial and district level would also be discussed during the meeting.
