Artificial intelligence could help identify Civil War veterans in your family



A computer science professor has developed a platform called Photo Sleuth that uses artificial intelligence to help identify Civil War veterans in photos. After discovering a portrait of his great-great-great uncle who fought in the Civil War, Kurt Luther developed the platform where users can upload photos, tag them with visual clues and connect them to profiles of Civil War soldiers with more detailed records of military service.
