KARACHI: Federal Areas retained the title when they demolished Punjab by 101 runs in the final of the NBP Disabled T20 Pentangular Cup here at NBP Sports Complex Ground on Saturday.After being asked to bat first, Federal Areas posted 192-3 in the allotted 20 overs with skipper Jahanzaib Tiwana scoring 68 off 52 balls, striking nine fours and two sixes. Hamza Hameed made 66 off 52 balls with five fours and three sixes as the duo added 130 for the third-wicket stand. Mohammad Haris took 1-24.Punjab, in response, perished for 90 in 15.2 overs with Umer Farooq top-scoring with 28 which came off 23 balls and had four fours. Tiwana and Gohar Ali got two wickets each.Head of CSR Division NBP Iqbal Wahid distributed the prizes.Federal Areas received a trophy and a purse of Rs200,000 while Punjab got a purse of Rs100,000. Similarly, Rs5000 each was handed over to Tiwana (Federal Areas, man-of-the-final), Hamza Hameed (Federal Areas, best batsman, 267 runs), Gohar Ali (Federal Areas, best bowler, 9 wickets), Iman Ullah Bhatti (Federal Areas, best fielder, 6 catches) and Adil Abbasi (Balochistan, player of the tournament, 253 runs, 3 wickets).
