KARACHI: Karachi Queens won Pakistan Day Junior Women Softball Championship when they beat Karachi Angels by two runs in the final here at Karachi Parsi Institute Ground on Tuesday.In the first innings, Karachi Queens managed five runs. In response, Karachi Angels scored four runs. In the second innings, Queens scored four runs while Angels responded with five runs to level the scores.In the decisive third innings, Queens scored five runs. Angels failed to achieve the target, making only three runs. Mursaleen Daniyal top-scored for the winners with three runs. For the losers Mahnoor Khan made three runs. Mahnoor was adjudged the best player of the event.Earlier, in the third place playoff, Karachi Dolphins defeated Karachi Pearls by one run. Dolphins scored nine runs in their three innings. Pearls managed to score eight runs.
